Farewell

The WP adventure has run its course, we have reached our journey’s end. We’ve had an incredible  time together and had the privilege of playing in some amazing places around the world and in front of some truly amazing people.

Thanks to every single one of you, we always really appreciated your support through the years whether it was 3 people in Glasgow (cheers Glasgow) or 4000 in Bhubaneswar

Thanks to Leon for all his hard work, I can imagine managing us wasn’t always the easiest of tasks! Cheers to everyone whoever helped on any of the tours you will always remain part of the now infamous Goon Squad.

As a band we always endeavoured to push ourselves, to experiment and to grow and change, to create something that was ours and that connected with people. Thank you to the many talented people we worked with to try and facilitate us in doing that especially Gareth Jones and Liam Howe.

A massive thank you to Derek and Sue Birkett at One Little Indian and the whole team down in Tooting for their support and guidance. We are very proud to have released two records on such a great label.

Our first single Deep Dive was released on One Little Indian in May 2010, we played the single launch on May 18th, now in some weird cyclical-fate-mind-bender kind of thing we will be playing our last show on May 18th this year with the release of our last single Hungry-mouthed Hunting Dogs.

If you’re thinking “shit, I was at that Deep Dive gig was it really seven years ago, am I really that old?!” Yeah it was and no we don’t know where the time’s gone either but we’ve had a ball.

Signing off,
Live Together Eat Each Other

‘Live Together, Eat Each Other’ is out today!

Live Together, Eat Each Other was a big undertaking, and we knew would take us a while (maybe not this long….) The idea was to do absolutely everything ourselves, just the four of us all the way, so it would be as true a representation of WP as possible; and along with a massive helping hand from Liam (Howe) who really pulled this record into focus and elevated what we had made into what I think we all imagined it could be, we achieved that primary aim.

It was a journey. It was a brilliant one. One that demanded bravery, patience, determination and unerring belief.

And so this is the day when that journey culminates in the release of Live Together, Eat Each Other.

Our endless thanks goes out to the people who have supported us over the last few years: friends and family, Leon Wright, Jeb Hardwick, Liam Howe, and especially Derek and everyone at One Little Indian.
